Enjin 炎刃 8″ Chef Knife – Flame of the Artisan’s Forge
Named Enjin (炎刃), meaning “flame blade,” this chef’s knife embodies the spirit of the forge—where raw elements meet relentless craft. With its hammered upper blade and sweeping edge, Enjin speaks of thousands of strikes, quenched steel, and the slow burn of mastery. It is a blade born in fire, but refined for precision—cutting not with force, but with balance and grace.
At its core lies Japanese VG-10 steel, encased in 67 layers of real Damascus—each line in the grain a record of folding, forging, and tempered power. The hammered tsuchime finish reduces drag, while the Damascus pattern evokes flowing energy beneath control. The 20.5 cm (8 in) blade tapers to a precise 15° V-edge, honed for meat, vegetables, fish, and everything between. It is neither too heavy nor too light—measuring 35 cm (13.8 in) in total—granting perfect command in the hands of those who craft with intent.
But it is the stabilized wood handle, inlaid with copper disks and polished into multicolor, one-of-a-kind marbling, that sets Enjin apart. Every handle is a singular work of nature and art—no two alike, each a living flame frozen in resin and form.
