Seika 静霞 5″ Santoku Knife – Haze Over Still Waters
Named Seika (静霞), meaning “silent haze” or “tranquil mist,” this compact Santoku knife distills calm into control. Designed for fine tasks and smaller hands, it moves with quiet confidence—gliding through herbs, root vegetables, and boneless cuts with serene accuracy. Seika is the fog that softens the edge of morning light—subtle, still, and perfectly placed.
Forged from 7CR17 high-carbon stainless steel and laser-etched with a flowing Damascus-style wave, Seika balances delicate maneuverability with reliable sharpness. Its 12.5 cm (4.9 in) blade offers ample precision for detail work, while the 2.9 cm (1.1 in) height ensures knuckle clearance in close quarters. The smaller stature is ideal for tight slicing, quick mincing, and controlled dicing in compact prep spaces.
Its pakkawood handle, finished with rich natural grain and shaped for all-day comfort, extends the blade’s control into your fingertips. With an overall length of 24 cm (9.4 in), Seika brings focus to the fine edge of prep—poised, patient, and exact.
A proud member of the Tenketsu 天刃 collection, Seika completes the elemental harmony—joining the flame of Kagari, the flow of Gekiryū, the stillness of Shinkai, the breeze of Kohane, and the mist of Kiryū.
